Topology Views

The network topology can be viewed in several different modes.

Overview

Users can display the network topology in several different modes via the View Settings button at the top of the topology. There are two main components to the topology layout: Graph Projection, Layout Mode

The size of the generated topology may dictate the which projection and layout mode should be used for the given topology.

For example, topologies with a large number of assets may benefit from a Graph Projection of Flat and a Layout Mode of Organic or Radial.

Graph Projection

The Graph Projection selection identifies the perspective or the view of the topology assets and has 2 modes: Flat, Isometric

Layout Mode

The Layout Mode selection identifies how to place the assets within the project: Hierarchic, Organic, Radial

Examples

Most of the examples below were generated using the WRCCDC 2019 PCAP demo project.

Each example displays the full extent picture as well as a zoomed in portion of the topology to show a more granular portion.
